Home to my parents’ and David’s for Thanksgiving last weekend; a blog in pictures. None of these pictures is particularly stunning or even interesting, but it gives you something to look at.
First up… Gently now. David laying on his back with the first of two of my parents’ cats, Lucy. She’s an absolute sweetheart; look at that pretty, pretty face. Hers is nice too
I’ve got my eyes on you. David with my parents’ cat Socks and he’s actually about four times this size in real life. The cat that is, not David.
Socks loves to be picked up and held, a big bundle in my arms, he fit more comfortably in David’s though in this shot he looks like he wants to get the heck out!
Tree on a sunny day in a large city park along the river in London, Ontario, visiting my grandma.
David’s relative size to a pair of old trees. He’s hard to see but he’s in there.
Cry fowl, goose take-off. A large wedge or skein of Canadian geese flew in and spent the better part of an hour swimming and paddling around. They got caught in the current, fought back, and then swam downstream where we followed. Lots and lots of pics. Some turned out, others didn’t; unfortunately, there was low light in the overhang of the branches along the water.
David again, pensive. I want to call this one ‘Sitting on the dock of the bay’ but there’s no dock. And this isn’t a bay.
I am much less photogenic but I am actually looking at him in this picture.
Irony never tasted so sweet. This is my favourite picture of the set and it was David’s idea. Right behind this ‘naturalization’ sign that mentions the regreening of this ‘natural environment’ is a whole pile of clothes (coat, sweater, shirt, bikini) strung up on the branches of a tall tree. Hopefully you can make out the colours and textures.
And finally…
The walk home; bare feet allowed.
